Hi all,
So this is the first post of my blog! Through this blog I'll be posting about my exchange in Louisville, Kentucky at Bellarmine Uiniversity. As you can imagine I'm so excited! I leave on August 9th and will start International Orientation on the 11th. Right now I have 7 weeks before I leave South Africa and during this time I'll be documenting my preparations etc! And probably moaning about packing my bag because we all know that is going to be a problem :)

Right now, I'm in a state of disbelief. I can't believe that a year has passed since I initiated this whole process. Coincidentally I leave a year and a day after I sent in my application. Weird huh? I just left Grahamstown this weekend and I thought I'd feel incredibly sad and be crying my eyes out but I didn't. I think its because Grahamstown has always been a transitionary place and as much as I've grown to love it, it'll never be home. My friends however are another state. I can't begin to even describe how much I love them and how much I'll miss them. But then I suppose I need a reason to come back...

Next post I'll be including some photos of my new varsity home for the next 5 months.
